Ohio Airline Adding 900 Jobs

Vandalia-based PSA Airlines will soon be in the market for hundreds of new employees.  President Keith Houk says the regional carrier is adding more than 900 jobs in Dayton, Akron, Charlotte and Knoxville.

“It’ll include pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, general office workers, dispatchers and just a variety of employees,” says Houk.

PSA has been in the Dayton region for 25 years. As a wholly owned subsidiary of US Airways, it flies under the name US Airways Express. Eventually that will change to American Eagle as the US Airways, American Airlines merger progresses. The new employees will be flying new planes too. American has 30 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft on order and an option to purchase 40 more.
