More Than 30 Said To Be Dead After Bombings In Iraq

"Iraqi officials have raised the toll from a combined car bomb and roadside bombing north of Baghdad to 35 people killed," The Associated Press reports from Baghdad. Around 50 other people are said to have been wounded, according to the wire service.

Reuters, which at this moment is putting the death toll at 27, says that "a car bomb and another explosive detonated in the parking lot of the government building in Taji, about 12 miles north of Baghdad."

The second blast happened as people arrived to help victims of the first bombing, Iraqi officials tell the wire services.
