It's Great in Dayton: October 24 - 30, 2014

The 2014 Dayton Regional Science Festival is a celebration of all things STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). From now through Sunday local businesses, organizations, and educational institutions will host events throughout the greater-Dayton region. This will provide people of all ages an opportunity to see science in a new light.

Les Misarables, in partnership with the Dayton Playhouse, is presenting in a concert setting with full symphony orchestra, costumes, a superb cast and larger than life chorus. This is at the Dayton Masonic Center tonight and Saturday at 8:00PM. and on Sunday a matinee.

Five Rivers Metroparks wants YOU to GET OUT & VOLUNTEER ON SATURDAY. Volunteers needed to help spruce up parks as part of national Make a Difference Day. This is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Register online and choose the place you want to help!

Musica's season begins Saturday and Sunday with "New Beginnings." The concert will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at St. George's Episcopal Church in Centerville, and 3:00 p.m. Sunday at The Dayton Art Institute.

Public Transit in Oakwood from the Early Days to Right Now: this is a presentation on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Library. From horse drawn cars to the diesel bus, learn about all aspects of transit.

Bach Meets Schubert, Sunday, 4:00 p.m. at the Kettering Adventist Church. The Bach Society of Dayton will collaborate with the University of Dayton Chorale.
