Governor’s staff moving around

Top staffers in Ohio Governor John Kasich’s administration are moving around these days.

Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports that the Director of the Department of Natural Resources, David Mustine, is stepping down from that post so he can serve in the state’s newly created non profit job creation board, Jobs Ohio.

The chief investment officer for that board, Mark Kvamme, says Mustine’s 16 years of experience with American Electric Power will help him help JobsOhio attract jobs in the energy industry.  Kvamme says Mustine will quote….provide the operation and institutional knowledge required of such an economically and environmentally important effort…unquote.

This move comes just a day after the Governor’s chief of staff, Beth Hansen, took a leave of absence from that position to help the group that’s trying to convince Ohio voters to allow the recently passed collective bargaining restrictions to be put into effect.

A referendum on senate bill five is on the fall ballot.
