Casey Anthony Gets 4 Years; With Time Served, She'll Be Out Next Week

Casey Anthony, the young Florida mother who was found not guilty of killing her 2-year-old daughter after a trial that dominated cable news networks and tabloids, was just sentenced to four years in prison for lying to police during the investigation.

But because she has been in jail since October 2008, credit for "time-served" means she won't have to stay in prison too much longer.

The Orange County. Fla., judge who handed down her punishment said he will determine later this morning, after consulting with prosecutors and Anthony's attorneys, how much credit she'll be given.

The judge gave Anthony 1-year sentences, to be served consecutively, for each of her four convictions for lying. He also ordered fines totaling $4,000.

Update at 11:42 a.m. ET. Anthony To Be Released Next Wednesday:

"Casey Anthony will be released from the Orange County Jail on July 13," the Orlando Sentineljust reported. "Chief Judge Belvin Perry sentenced Casey Anthony this morning for lying to police, giving her four years in jail and credit for the time she's already served since 2008."

Update at 10 a.m. ET:The Associated Press writes that the judge indicated that Anthony, 25, "can go free in late July or early August because she has already served nearly three years in jail and has had good behavior."
