Book Nook: Kossoye: A Village Life in Ethiopia, Andrew J. Carlson and Dennis G. Carlson

Andrew J. Carlson and his father Dennis G. Carlson have made a deep connection with the Ethiopian village of Kossoye. That bond has endured for 47 years. The Carlsons travel to Ethiopia frequently. This book is the product of their experiences in this particular African town. The Carlsons have examined numerous aspects of life in this community. They have studied the economic and cultural forces that have shaped the village and the challenges that villagers must face now and in the future.

Andrew Carlson is a professor of political science at Capital University in Columbus. He lives in Yellow Springs.
