Ben Rivet, also known as BJSR joined fill-in host Juliet Fromholt on Excursions today to talk about and play from his newly released EP, Axe and Vox.
Although he normally performs solo, Rivet said that for Axe and Vox he wanted to work with other musicians and producers to record the songs the way he imagines them when he he writes. Tracks were recorded in Boston, Dayton and North Carolina to create this collaborative album. Although he has been in the Dayton music scene for a while, this is his first recording. It's a quite non-specific in terms of genre, in the same way that he explores many genres in his live performances.
