The founder of StoryCorps, Dave Isay, is coming to Dayton for a WYSO fundraiser at the Schuster Center June 21. StoryCorps is a national oral history gathering organization. In honor of Dave Isay’s visit, we’re re-broadcasting some of our favorite Miami Valley StoryCorps interviews, recorded in 2010.
Dan Carl and Michael Castle have been together for eighteen years. The Centerville couple says they are religiously married, just not legally. Castle is the Pastor at Harmony Creek Church in Kettering. His partner, Dan Carl, works in the medical field. Mike and Dan came to the StoryCorps booth to share the story of the birth of their first child, Gideon.
