Community Voices is all about getting more local voices on the radio. WYSO's training program turns listeners into producers. This hour, we’ll hear stories produced in the training and some new pieces that have yet to hit the airwaves.

Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Human trafficking will soon surpass drugs and guns as the largest illegal enterprise in the country. And the most prevalent form is child sex trafficking. On a national report card Ohio was given a “D” on it’s response.  Sarah Buckingham reports from Toledo – a city that’s on the frontlines of the tackling the problem.

Voters in Montgomery County chose incumbents for two open seats on the Dayton City Commission. Dean Lovelace and Matt Joseph each earned more than 36% of the vote. First-time candidate Mark Manovich took 15% and William Pace came in fourth with 11%.

Matt Joseph has been in office for eight years, but he acknowledges that being an incumbent doesn’t mean an automatic win.
