Juliet Fromholt has been listening to WYSO for as long as she can remember.  She began volunteering at the station while also serving as Program Director and General Manager at WWSU, the student station at her
alma mater, Wright State University.  Juliet does many things at WYSO including overseeing the station's web and social media presence, producing news features, and hosting two music programs.  In her spare time, Juliet serves as music editor DaytonMostMetro.com and is proud to serve as a board member for the Antioch Writers' Workshop and Cityfolk.

The Lions Rampant Live on Kaleidoscope

Cincinnati band the Lions Rampant are hot off the release of their new album, It's Fun to Do Bad Things.  The band already celebrated the album's release in their hometown and will also do shows in Dayton, Columbus and Chicago in support of the record.  Nick and Nate from the Lions Rampant visited the WYSO studios to share some tracks from their new album and talk about the band's upcoming plans.

The Lions Rampant will celebrate the release of It's Fun to Do Bad Things in Dayton on Saturday, March 27th at South Park Tavern.

Flotation Walls live on Kaleidoscope

Flotation Walls

There are 27 players on Flotation Walls' new album, Nature, but for touring and live performances, the band is made up of four people - all of whom wear distinct yellow costumes.  The visited the WYSO studios ahead of their performance at the Dayton Dirt Collective for a live set and to talk about recording Nature, translating their recordings to a live show and their decision to begin touring full time.

Flotation Walls is playing at the Dayton Dirt Collective on Thursday, September 24, 2009 with Finding Fiction and The Space Race.
