Juliet Fromholt has been listening to WYSO for as long as she can remember.  She began volunteering at the station while also serving as Program Director and General Manager at WWSU, the student station at her
alma mater, Wright State University.  Juliet does many things at WYSO including overseeing the station's web and social media presence, producing news features, and hosting two music programs.  In her spare time, Juliet serves as music editor DaytonMostMetro.com and is proud to serve as a board member for the Antioch Writers' Workshop and Cityfolk.

The entire Miami Valley is under a Winter Weather advisory today, with 2-4 inches of snow accumulation expected. Snow is expected to remain steady throughout the day and taper towards the evening hours. Much colder weather will be behind the snow. Lows tonight will be in the lower single digits. 2 Nights of Songwriters' Solstice To Benefit The FoodBank

28 local songwriters will gather at Ghostlight Coffee this weekend for the first-ever Songwriters' Solstice benefiting the Dayton FoodBank.  The event is the brainchild of local songwriter Kevin Milner and incorporates songwriters of a variety of ages and musical backgrounds.  Several musicians slated to play the event visited the WYSO studios ahead for a preview performance on Kaleidoscope.

Songwriter's Solstice is December 20 & 21 at Ghostlight Coffee.

Vaughn & Co. Live on Kaleidoscope

Already mainstays in the Cincinnati music scene, Vaughn & Co. are poised to make their Dayton debut this weekend at the Oregon Express.  The band visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope and talked about their journey as a band so far and their plans for 2014.

Vaughn & Co. perform at the Oregon Express on Saturday, December 14th with The New Old-Fashioned and Paige & the Bel-Airs.

Sherman Andrus To Star In 2013 Production of Nativity

Nativity The Pop Opera returns to the Miami Valley this holiday season.  This year's production features new choreography and will star legendary gospel singer Sherman Andrus.  Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt spoke with Andrus about his musical legacy and with Nativity's co-creator J. Todd Anderson about this year's production.

Nativity the Pop Opera will be performed December 12-14 at the Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene and on December 15 at The Gathering in Centerville.
