The 3 members of Honeymoon haven't been playing together long, but the instant chemistry between the players has made for well-crafted and increasingly complex songwriting.  The band's mutual musical influences have resulted in a poppy sound with a darker edge on their debut EP Xylography. 

Honeymoon visited the WYSO studios for a live set on Kaleidoscope and chatted with host Juliet Fromholt about forming the band, recording and what's to come for the band.

Host highlights features conversations between WYSO Music Director, Niki Dakota and WYSO's volunteer hosts about their programs, how they came to WYSO, etc. This week, fill-in host Juliet Fromholt chats with Tom Duffee of the Midnight Ramble. They discuss the Duffee's love of old-time music and how hosting a program on WYSO was a family affair.

The Midnight Ramble airs Saturday nights, 9pm - midnight.

North Dixie Drive is the portrait of a neighborhood that's been a long time in the making.  Filmmaker Eric Mahoney was inspired by his in-laws, Israeli immigrants who own a body shop on the title street, and thought about documenting the place for several year before taking the plunge to make the film.  Here Mahoney discusses the process of making the film and the characters he found along the way.

North Dixie Drive premiering at the Neon Movies this weekend. The premier on March 26th is sold out, but addition showings have been added on April 1, 2 and 3 at the Neon Movies.

In a painting called Opry, braided strands of color start out bright at the top of the canvas but get muddy as they reach the bottom. Art critic and writer Ellie Bronson says that the artist, Bernard Frize likes to play games

"These games have had to do with anything from removing the skins that form on the top of open paint cans and plastering them on a canvas until the can was empty to painting blindfolded directed by an assistant or someone else," says Bronson.
