One of Pop Up Shops that's part of downtown Dayton's Activated Spaces program.

Downtown's First Friday art hop will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. tonight. Activated spaces will host a tour of newly installed window clings featuring the work of local artists. The tour begins at American Pi 37 South St. Clair Street at 5:45 p.m.  The installation of the window clings is the final phase of the Activated Spaces
Street Team art initiative, which placed works of art in vacant storefront windows throughout downtown.

The Ahiska Turkish American Community Center, located at the "former Bomberger Center" 1306 E. Fifth Street, in Dayton, is having an official Grand Opening on today at 5:00pm. It is an ethnic and faith-based non-profit community organization serving refugees, immigrants and under-served communities in Montgomery County. About 400 families have resettled here investing 15-20 million dollars in economy of Dayton.

The Dayton Holiday Festival Kickoff Events begin at the Courthouse Square in Downtown Dayton; 4-9 p.m. today. The festival kicks off with the Grande Illumination and the Dayton Children's Parade Spectacular in Lights. A full evening of fun holiday entertainment and activities including live Main Stage entertainment, the Gingerbread Homes for the Holidays contest, the Street Fair on Third, horse-drawn wagon rides and much more.

Dayton International Peace Museum

The Dayton International Peace Museum has two events on Sunday.  Their new exhibition, "Peacemakers: Women of Liberia," will open at 12:30 p.m.  It features the work of 2 of our 2012 Nobel Peace Prize laureates and other Liberian women who came together to end Liberia's civil wars.

And the film In the Land of Blood and Honey will be screened by The Neon Movies, at 3 p.m. in partnership with the Peace Museum.
