Voting in Clark County

Absentee voting was down this year compared to the 2008 election. In Clark County over 8,000 people voted by absentee ballot. Board of Elections Director Mark Oster says that absentee voting results don't necessarily indicate who's going to win an election.

Montgomery County Says Your Ballots Will Be Counted

As absentee results come in, Montgomery County board of elections official Steve Harsman assures voters their ballot will be counted

"First and foremost, anyone who voted early or by absentee, if their ballot was eligable to be counted, it will be included in that total. There's a myth by a lot of voters in the public and the media that those ballots are only counted if the race is close, and in fact, it's the opposite. It's the first set of results and the ballots that we count first," says Harsman.
