SPRINGFIELD - The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce has been named one of three finalists for the 2012 Chamber of the Year Award. The honor is the only one in the country to recognize chambers for their efforts to create business and lead communities.
Mike McDorman of the Springfield Chamber, says winners of the award are selected from four categories based on revenue size. Applicants were asked to submit examples of marketing and other initiatives that showed efforts to better the community they serve.
Global climate change has caused unprecedented changes to the Arctic environment, especially a rapid decrease in the summer sea ice sheet.
