Conrad's Corner: an Interview with Noah Falck

Dayton native Noah Falck has been published in online journals, print anthologies and his own chapbooks.  Snowman Losing Weight is his first hardbound collection of poems.  Here Falck sits down with WYSO's Conrad Balliet to discuss the art of poetry and taking inspiration from real life and imagination.

New Ohio Guide: A City of Neighborhoods – Ethnic Enclaves in Cleveland

As musicians strike up traditional Chinese cymbals, gongs, and drums, the crowd at Cleveland's Asia Plaza parts - to reveal a gold-spangled, white-furred Chinese lion. The lion whips and gyrates to the music as it circles the audience. The lion's red-tongued mouth plucks red -and-gold, cash-filled envelopes from the hands of giggling children.

PoliticsOhio: Penn National Moves Forward With Plans to Open Dayton "Racino"

Last week, a judge threw out a lawsuit challenging slots like machines in Ohio and we spoke to the group, Ohio Roundtable, who says its considering an appeal on the grounds that it violates the constitution. Today, Emily McCord speaks with Bob Tennenbaum, a spokesman for Penn National, the company who will develop the proposed racino in Dayton.
