Honda announced yesterday it will bring back its so-called “supercar” Acura NSX after suspending production in 2005. And the new high performance two-seater will be built in Ohio.

Honda Will Build Hybrid Accord in Ohio

Honda says it will start building a new hybrid Accord sedan at its plant in central Ohio this year.

The auto maker announced today that it will invest 23 million dollars and add around 50 new jobs at the Marysville plant to build the 2014 Accord hybrid sedan. The car will be the third Honda hybrid model built in North America and will go on sale nationwide this fall.

The 95,000-square-foot Marysville plant is being expanded to house assembly processes for the production of the two-motor Accord hybrid.

Survey: Manufacturing Jobs in Dayton Remain Unfilled.

A recent survey conducted by MadeInDaytonBlog.Com indicates that many manufacturing jobs in the Dayton area remain unfilled, despite large numbers of people looking for work.

The blog was started back in December as a clearinghouse for local manufacturers to communicate needs and exchange ideas. More than a hundred companies responded to the survey and said they have jobs that have remained unfilled – and many say the disconnect between available jobs and the unemployed comes down to skills.
