Everyone is invited to celebrate the newest Herndon Gallery solo exhibition: Michael Hambouz: Drank The Water A survey exhibition of 2-D and 3-D Paintings, Cut Paper Collage, Sculpture, and Video Opening Party + Artist Talk Thurs., July 12, 7:30 - 10:30 PM Artist Talk at 8PM With DJ Creepingbear and Food Truck by La Pampa Wood-fired Argentine Grill, light bites, and drinks (cash bar). ********************* Legend has it that if you drink from the spring in the Glen Helen Nature Preserve (from which the Village of Yellow Springs takes its name), you will always return. In the fall of 1995, first-year art student Michael Hambouz drank the water, and true to legend he returns this summer with an exciting and vibrant exhibition. With a long history of figurative narrative portraiture work, NYC-based artist Michael Hambouz '99 is currently know for his unique use of multiple mediums, multi-dimensional perspectives, layering, and shadows as tools to capture profound experiences and complex information.
