The StoryCorps mobile booth will be returning to the Miami Valley to collect stories from individuals across our region beginning May 22nd. The booth will be in Dayton's Wright-Dunbar neighborhood, parked at the corner of E. Third and S. Williams Streets, at the Dayton Aviation Heritage Visitors Center.
WYSO's tower is being serviced today (Monday, March 10th) between approximately 1:00PM and 2:00PM.
For the safety of the tower climber, OSHA and the FCC require that we turn the transmitter off during the time the tower climber is in close proximity to our antenna. Listeners may experience a weak or spotty signal during this period. We apologize for any inconvenience.
At around 3pm today, WYSO will be undergoing a massive IT transition. Our office phones may be unavailable for a brief period of time and as well as our web stream. Please bare with us as we make these necessary upgrades to keep WYSO going strong. Thanks so much for your patience!
Pop and Bodie Wagner return to WYSO for a concert Saturday, December 14. Tune in to ‘Detours’ and enjoy a unique hour of live radio, beginning at 2p. There will be singing, poetry, fiddling, picking and lots of laughter. It is a great honor to host these native sons for this rare return to the Miami Valley.
The brothers have deep roots in Yellow Springs. They attended school right down the road from the WYSO studios at Mills Lawn Elementary, before heading out to make their marks in folk music circles across the country.
