Poll Reports Half of Ohio Voters Disapprove of Governor

Despite passing a budget without tax increases and cutting a lucrative deal with casino operators, Gov. John Kasich's approval ratings haven't moved much.

A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found 50 percent of registered voters disapprove of the governor, virtually unchanged from May. Perhaps having less to do with the Governor - Almost a third said they are "very dissatisfied" with the way things are going in the state.

State Budget Sends Mixed News For Ohio Arts Council

In PoliticsOhio this week, Emily McCord spoke to Karen Kasler from Ohio Public Radio's Statehouse News Bureau. Kasler reported on a story this week on how the state budget is impacting the Ohio Arts Council. It received more money but there are strings attached to how that money can be used, and according to the OAC, that's unique in the state. Kasler breaks down what happened and the implications.
