Disagreements with neighbors or spouses can be ugly, and they can also be costly for the people and institutions involved. The Dayton Mediation Center has been working for 27 years to stem the social and fiscal costs of conflict by addressing it at its root, using volunteer mediators. The center works closely with neighborhood groups and the Montgomery County juvenile court to take on cases that might otherwise go through police, or result in either criminal charges or expensive litigation.

Warren County Economic Development Director, Martin Russell, says Miami Valley Gaming’s new $175 million dollar racino means big revenue for the county.
“I think that when you talk about jobs, you talk about capital investment, you talk about bringing in more people inside of Warren County...this is going to really broaden our economic base," said Russell.
A quick moving system brought snow to the Miami Valley overnight with some places seeing as much as 3 inches of accumulation. Many area schools are on 2-hour delays this morning, as well as some closures, and several problems have been reported on the roadways.
