Antioch College Receives Millions After YSI Merger

New York based ITT Corporation completed its acquisition of YSI Incorporated in Yellow Springs last week, bringing 34.7 million dollars to Antioch College's endowment fund that will help secure the college's future. Emily McCord reports for WYSO.

Urban Nights Highlights Downtown Businesses

Some people call it downtown's biggest party with live music stages and roving performers throughout the city. But Urban Nights isn't just about the party. It's a showcase for the arts, dining, music and even the housing available in downtown Dayton.  This bi-annual event is expected to bring 30 thousand people downtown this evening.

Kristen Wicker with the Downtown Dayton Partnership says that it's also an important way to highlight the 9 out of 10 downtown businesses that are locally owned and operated.

Clark County Arts Center Breathes New Life Into Springfield

Clark State Community College now has a home for its arts program. The Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts Center will also host other arts organizations in the community. It is part of the City of Springfield's plan to revitalize downtown. WYSO's Wayne Baker reports.

Former WYSO News Director, Aileen LeBlanc, left the house on what seemed like an ordinary Tuesday to find that she would be working on day that she would never forget.

Ten years ago, Dayton resident Jerry Winhoven was at a training session  at the World Trade Center in New York. Now, he lives in Celina and says he remembers running out of the towers moments before they fell.
