The Ahiska Turkish American Community Center, located at the "former Bomberger Center" 1306 E. Fifth Street, in Dayton, is having an official Grand Opening on today at 5:00pm. It is an ethnic and faith-based non-profit community organization serving refugees, immigrants and under-served communities in Montgomery County. About 400 families have resettled here investing 15-20 million dollars in economy of Dayton.
Lots of theatrical plays to see this weekend….A Tuna Christmas is a play at the Dayton Theater Guild and it is how local radio personalities tell all about the annual Christmas lawn display contest.
Consider yourself at home with this beloved Tony Award-winning musical based on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist. Filled with timeless songs, delightful dancing and memorable characters, it's a wonderful holiday treat for the family.
Irving Berlin's White Christmas is at the Schuster. It is direct from Broadway and I saw it Tuesday and what a show! It is a merry and bright theatrical experience for everyone.
If you have a used musical instrument bring it to the PNC 2nd Street Market on Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Dayton Philharmonic Volunteer Association is sponsoring an instrument donation drive to give to the Dayton Public Schools. Instruments will be repaired, if needed.
The seedling Foundation, a 501 [c]  non-profit organization supporting arts education at Dayton's Stivers School for the Arts, is seeking candidates for the newly created position of Executive Director.
